This past weekend was for staying around town. Enjoying every moment. Hall of Fame (a huge event in our town), First Friday and the parade that always starts a little too early. The kids are worn out, they are tired and drained but those late nights were worth it. Just watching Joshua dance the night away still puts a smile on my heart. I enjoyed my dinner date with the little ones at Benders, walking around town with friends and then home to play legos in bed while we read our books. Saturday brought on the parade, a family trip to the restaurant which always includes a game of hide and seek and a quick stop at a local coffee shop. The kids and I took it easy on Saturday night. Jonas was so excited because the new Star Wars legos are now in stores so we cruised the isles of Target. Just looking, not buying. Then home to get ready for bed and books in mama's bed. As usual, Jon and I stayed up too late every night watching Breaking Bad and now I am paying the price. What I wouldn't give to get a nap in today.

ReplyDeleteYour town seems like a blast - you got bits and pieces of a circus without it being so over the top it became creepy (circuses scare me, I have never actually been).
