today a car drove by our house while we played outside
windows down
music echoing across blades of grass.
a teenagers hair blowing in wind
the subtle scent of smoke lingering in laughter.

i remember those days.
driving in cars
windows down
lost in moments
surrounded by laughter
and the scent of smoke
always the scent of smoke
hidden in that wisp of hair
my blue jeans pocket
a fold in my t shirt.
